The ski season is over for the athletes of Synflex
    05/02/07  Tim Burke
After enjoying a few weeks of down time, I’m back to training full time to prepare for next winter. It was really nice to have a few weeks where I didn't have to think about my next workout or race. I spent much of that time catching up with my family and I even managed to get away to the Virgin Islands for a week with a group of friends. It’s really important for me to give my body both a physical and mental break after a long winter of racing and I feel like I accomplished that this spring.

    In the middle of season...

I am in Boston this morning waiting to catch a flight to Germany in a few hours. The last few days have been an emotional whirlwind and I am looking forward for a little time to unwind.

    High Altitude Training
    08/29/05  Tim Burke
I have been out in Park City, Utah for the past week at our first altitude training camp of the year. With the Olympics being held high in the Italian Alps, it is essential that we have some exposure to altitude before the winter.

    Summer Training for Winter
    06/09/05  Tim Burke
I am back up in Fort Kent, Maine right now at a training camp. Everything is going well and we have been training very hard. Spring seems to have left the Northeast, we finally have more sun than rain, which makes training more enjoyable.

All is well here in Lake Placid. I am still at home training until the the end of May and then I will be headed back to Maine. Training has been going really well and I feel that I am already in pretty good shape.

How to Choose a Personal Trainer
    02/24/05  Phil Goglia
In the fitness industry there is a joke that goes something like this: “The reason I decided not to become a personal trainer is that I had no table waiting experience and I didn’t want to become an actor.”

    FootPower for Golf
    02/14/05  William Breland
Although the ankle is the most injured body part of an athlete, very little is ever done to strengthen the stabilizing muscles that prevent rolling in and out.

    An Update from Tim Burke
    01/27/05  Tim Burke
I am spending the day packing up and getting ready to head back over to Europe for six weeks. I can't wait to get back on the road and back racing, it feels like I have been home for too long. After spending many winters constantly traveling, I begin to get restless if I am in one place for very long.

I'm sorry for the lack of race day updates as I had promised but in a last minute decision our team trials were moved from Lake Placid to Maine, where I did not have good email access.
